Japan is becoming an increasingly multi-cultural society. There are more than 1 million foreign workers now in Japan, and 1 in 8 new adults in Tokyo are not Japanese citizens. With the upcoming 2020 Tokyo Olympics and the current tourist boom, it is evident now that Japan needs to train Doctors who are able to interact with non-Japanese patients. Internationally, English has become the lingua franca for medical research and information, and confident use of the language is now seen as essential.
Teine Keijinkai Hospital offers an international focus as part of your residency training. We provide opportunities to present patients on the ward in English. Our morning reports, journal club, OSCE sessions and many lectures are facilitated in English by our in-house International faculty. We are also available to provide additional individual learning sessions, particularly for residents interested in working abroad.
Many of our residents have presented at international conferences.
Our goal is to develop confident young doctors with a global focus.
We welcome you to come and visit to experience what Teine Keijinkai Hospital can offer.
